Farah Hani participates in International Girl’s Day Celebration

A video statement was recorded by Farah Hani, a child from the Egyptian Coalition for Child Rights, to mark the International Day of the Girl.

Among the main points Farah raised:

  • Creating opportunities for girls to speak out and to become advocates and activists in many fields, above all girls’ rights.
  • Working together with girls to confront these challenges.
  • Reducing early marriage.
  • Society paying attention to the harms girls face.
  • African governments raising awareness around child labour.
  • Strengthening the role of education and supporting the learning process.
  • Enacting laws to protect working girls.
  • Strengthening the awareness-raising role of families and specialists.
